today’s Mile End and Outremont. We will talk about an old world in a new
country, about community and boundaries, neighbors, languages, and the city, and
what Hasidic life looks like specifically in Montreal. A conversation about shtreimels on
Park Avenue, forgotten rebbes, kashrus battles, synagogues, shops, and how a Hasidic
Yiddish world took shape between French and English in Montreal.
